The Fellowship in Preemptology - Training the Health Leaders of Tomorrow
An intensive four-year post-MBBS program that will transform medical doctors into “field marshals” of health.
The greatest opportunity in public and global health today lies not in bigger budgets or advanced technologies, but in cultivating a new generation of physicians fiercely devoted to prevention—doctors who measure success not by the battles they win against disease, but by the wars they avert altogether. The IoP seizes this moment to pioneer Preemptology—the clinical discipline integrating prevention, public health, and primary care—and positioning it as the fifth essential clinical science alongside Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics/Gynecology.

The Four-Year Journey to Leadership
Our curriculum is a cumulative, hands-on experience that builds the complete skillset required to launch and lead effective, large-scale health initiatives in any environment. This transformative programme will be built upon the Foegean fundamentals—the principles of evidence-driven, community-oriented public health pioneered by the servant-leader Dr. Bill Foege.
Year 1: The Foundation – Community Health Architect
A Preemptologist’s work begins in the community, not the clinic. In Year 1, our specialists master the art and science of proactive health. They learn to design and deliver comprehensive screening and health promotion campaigns for all ages and gender. This is paired with the start of their MPH/MBA training, grounding their clinical work in the principles of public health strategy and sound financial management from day one.
Year 2: The Practitioner – Lifeline in Any Setting
Building on their community health foundation, specialists acquire the critical emergency response and life-saving skills needed to operate effectively, especially in low-resource settings. This ensures they are not just prevention experts, but are also equipped to handle the immediate health crises that can devastate vulnerable populations, making them a versatile and indispensable asset to any health system.
Year 3: The Innovator – Master of the Tools
A brilliant health program is useless if its equipment fails. In a truly unique step, our curriculum integrates biomedical engineering principles. Specialists learn to operate, maintain, and repair the essential tools of their trade—from advanced screening technology to the mobile clinic vehicles themselves. This builds true self-sufficiency and ensures the long-term sustainability of our life-saving missions.
Year 4: The Leader – Scaling Global Impact
The final year synthesizes all a Preemptologist has learned. With their clinical, technical, and community skills honed, they complete their MPH/MBA, focusing on global health leadership. They graduate not simply as doctors, but as executives of health—fully capable of designing, funding, managing, and scaling cost-effective health initiatives that can transform a village, a region, or a nation.
Academic Note on Scope
The four-year fellowship program is comprehensive. All graduates will complete and be awarded the five Master’s Degrees and five Postgraduate Diplomas concurrently with their clinical fellowship, ensuring a unified mastery across clinical, technical, executive, and political disciplines.
The Result: The Preemptologist
The Field Marshal of Health
An agile, multi-skilled clinician trained to command preemptive and primary care systems directly in the community.
The Physician-Statesman
A master integrator who connects epidemiology, clinical care, and executive authority to transform public health policy to build a healthier society.
